Affiliate Disclosure
Effective May 1, 2026
Short version: some links on Host Anyway are affiliate links. If you click and buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Plain, no fine print.
Why we disclose
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires anyone with a “material connection” to a product they recommend to disclose that connection clearly and conspicuously. We agree with the spirit of that rule, so we’re telling you up front: we make money from many of our outbound links.
How it works
When we link to a product on Amazon, Walmart, Whole Foods, Murray’s Cheese, Etsy, or another retailer, the link often includes a tracking parameter. If you buy something through that link within a window the retailer specifies (typically 24 hours to 7 days), the retailer pays us a small percentage of your purchase. The price you pay is the same whether you click our link, search for the product separately, or walk into the store.
Programs we participate in
- Amazon Associates Program. InSync Solutions LLC d/b/a Host Anyway is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
- Walmart Affiliate Program (Impact)
- Whole Foods Market via Amazon
- Murray’s Cheese Affiliate Program
- Etsy Affiliate Program (CJ Affiliate)
- Other partners may be added over time; this list will be updated.
How we choose what to recommend
Affiliate revenue does not buy product placement. We recommend products based on what we actually use, what fits the brief of the calculator, and what holds up against the cheaper grocery-store alternative. If the grocery-store alternative is genuinely fine, we say so — even when there’s no commission in it for us.
Sponsored content
We will clearly label any post, calculator output, or printable that includes paid sponsorship. Sponsored content is rare, and the “Sponsored” label appears at the top of the affected content, not buried in a footer.
Tracking and privacy
Affiliate clicks are recorded server-side (partner, product, source page, and a timestamp). We do not record your identity. If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the affiliate-tracking parameter is stripped from your click — you go straight to the partner with no tag attached, and we earn no commission on that purchase. The “sponsored” label on the link itself stays visible regardless (FTC requirement).
